Joann & Shyler Earn HOTY Honors - Twice!
Joann and Galzona's Shyler earned the 2007 USEF Horse of the Year for the Half Arabian Region 6 Training Level Amateur division AND the Open Division.
Our 2007 Colt Makes His Entrance
Working Man's Dollar, aka Manny, was born just after 2 a.m. on July 10th, 2007. This is the first foal Michael has watched be born, and our children named him. All our foals so far have had names from song titles, and our son loves Chris LeDoux, so this colt is named after Chris' song... while our daughter decided that he's going to be big & brown, so he should be called Manny, after the Ray Ramano character in the Ice Age movies.
Joann Wins Two Regional Titles with Shyler
What an amazing show - with scores of 70% and 73%, Joann and Galzona's Shyler won the AHA Region 6 Training Level Amateur and Training Level Open classes. The Arabian shows allow amateurs to cross enter to the open class, although competing against big names is rather intimidating at times! The wins were especially meaningful, as my family was there to see and help. It was great to have us working as a team to groom & warm up, and to know they were there in the stands cheering us on!
